Brazos River Home began with pride-pride in Texas, pride in our communities, and pride in the people who built the traditions and legacy that still survive today.
Towns, back roads, music halls and most of all, front porches that carry the memories of generations of Texans that came before us.
Texas isn’t just a state. It is a legacy.
Cattle drives and oil booms. Farm towns and port cities. It’s border culture and Hill Country Bluebonnets. It’s Tejano and Rock and Roll and Outlaw Country. It’s Friday Night Lights and college rivalries.
Texans have an undeniable dignity. Stubborn independence and a work ethic that came from generations of people working together through the dirt and dust and heat, despite their differences. Generosity that shows up during the most desperate moments, without social media to document it.
Brazos River Home exists to honor that heritage by documenting the past and the present, by writing the stories that shaped our past and influence our future.
If you have a story to tell, we’d be honored to share it.
Thank you for being here to share our heritage with each other and with the world beyond our borders.
